Hans and Fransien Haan established their business in 1993 when they acquired a 16-hectare vineyard near Tanunda (since extended to 19 ha). The primary focus was on Merlot, in particular on the luxury Merlot Prestige, supported by Semillon, Viognier and Shiraz. Exports to all major markets.

Merlot Prestige 2005 — Five Stars — Rating: 94
Bright colour courtesy of 5% Viognier co-fermented; a sumptuous, velvety wine, with lifted blackberry, dark chocolate and mocha flavours supported by ripe tannins; in the mainstream of Haan style. Cork. 14.5% alc.
Cork. 14.5% alc. To 2020.

Haan Viognier Prestige 2007 — Five Stars — Rating: 94
One of the best Viogniers going; flowery, aromatic apricot nuances on the bouquet, the palate adding touches of fruit spice and musk; long finish, no phenolics.
